With the guidance of repeater keeper Dave Osborn GD4HOZ an afternoon visit for interested Amateur Radio people to the Carnane UHF voice repeater GB3IM-C serving Douglas area to look at the Linux All-Star internet linking in use. Also co-sited is the recent Digital Mobile Radio GB7CA UHF voice Repeater. Carnane is the main TV & radio transmitter mast for Douglas. It is located south of Douglas beyond the ferry terminals up on a hill. I think GB3IM is in a small building next to this big TV mast. This will be a drive along a private road so Dave GD4HOZ must accompany us. 4x4 vehicles recommended.
